Light pulses are transmitted via the fiber optic cable to the receiver and converted back into an electrical HDMI signal. Thanks to optical transmission, external interference caused by radio or magnetic fields is no longer an issue.
The cable has the same dimensions as a standard HDMI cable; it is only larger at the connector, as the converter technology is fully integrated into the plugs.
celexon active HDMI 2.0b fiber optic cables support image resolutions up to 4K-UHD (4X Full HD resolution) with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and 4:4:4 8-bit color subsampling, and a bandwidth of up to 18.2 Gbps with a maximum color depth of 16 bits.
