Analog Compressor-Limiter
The Titan is an analog compressor-limiter with a variety of selectable controls for sound coloration.
Amplification is discrete Class A, and controls are stepped with values displayed on an LED screen. The Titan is an analog processor with digital control, featuring a high-performance DSP in the side-chain that allows the machine to be pushed further than what is possible with a purely analog chain.
The compressor-limiter controls are traditional: Threshold, Attack, Release, Shape, Bypass-In-Link, Meter Select, and make-up Gain. The values of these controls are graphically displayed on the screen for easy and immediate viewing.
The following additional controls for sound coloration are present:
VCA COLOR: mixes the original PWM sound and the vintage-style sound obtained via a diode-type compression circuit.
PARALLEL MIX: mixes the unprocessed sound with the compressed audio, in parallel.
DYNAMIC COLOR: provides harmonic content opposite in nature to the harmonic content generated by the vintage control.
The Dynamic Color effect can be described as a "bigger" sound.
FAT - AIR: selector that adds "air" or "FATNESS" to the compressed sound.
