Mastering console
DANGEROUS MUSIC MASTER is a mastering console that offers crystal-clear precision and robust musicality. The signal routing of the DANGEROUS MUSIC MASTER provides sophisticated control over gain staging, front panel switching of three analog inserts, Mid/Side processing, input/output monitoring level matching, and multiple outputs to reach all destinations in the mastering suite.
Individual L-R input level controls can be used to perfectly set the stereo image, gently compensating for any imbalances embedded in the mix. These controls use stepped attenuators that offer 0.5 dB steps with a gain accuracy of 0.01 dB between channels for a perfect stereo image at all volumes.
The Input Monitor Offset feature allows you to match levels between the processed signal (output) and the unprocessed signal (input) so you can make comparative judgments without misleading volume changes. Once input and output levels are matched, simply use the In/Out switch to objectively compare your mastering work to the original.
The three front panel switchable inserts connect all your EQs, compressors, limiters, and de-essers into an elegant and robust mastering system.
The integrated Mid/Side processing resides on Insert 2. The Mid/Side processor within the DANGEROUS MUSIC MASTER is an audiophile-grade sum-and-difference matrix. By "encoding" and then "decoding" the stereo signal, this matrix allows for separate control over the center and sides of the stereo mix.
The width control allows you to use the DANGEROUS MUSIC MASTER's Mid/Side matrix to control the level of the "sides" of the mix, changing the perceived stereo width.
Finally, DANGEROUS MUSIC MASTER has three outputs and two inputs. A dedicated monitoring output accompanies two stereo output paths.
