Monitor controller
The DANGEROUS MUSIC MONITOR ST is an audiophile-grade, multipurpose monitor controller for tracking, mixing, and mastering that does not color the sound. Designed by the celebrated Chris Muth, the DANGEROUS MUSIC MONITOR ST handles all input source, speaker switching, cue, talkback, and headphone functions — all in a 1U package with crystal-clear clarity. With its stepped attenuator, five input sources, three speaker outputs, programmable I/O levels, dedicated subwoofer output, and more — all accessible via the elegant remote control — it provides effortless management of all studio routing.
The volume control of the DANGEROUS MUSIC MONITOR ST is an analog, stepped attenuator driven by relays, made with top-choice audiophile-grade components. From the elegantly designed knob on the remote control, you can achieve crystal-clear sonics with extremely precise volume level recall and gain tracking better than 0.01 dB between channels.
The DANGEROUS MUSIC MONITOR ST features four analog inputs, three speaker outputs, and a stereo subwoofer output with programmable level offset and filter that can be assigned to any of the three speaker pairs (or used for a fourth pair of studio monitors). All these details can be custom-calibrated with programmable, integrated level offsets that you can recall instantly for different devices and configurations. The integrated talkback microphone, slate output, and robust 20w/channel headphone amplifier — which can receive the Main Mix or Aux In for custom mixes — complete all the routing needs for any studio. And the Aux input can be layered with one of the four main inputs, offering even more routing solutions.
The award-winning design of the DANGEROUS MUSIC MONITOR ST is centered around an ergonomic, intuitive, and indestructible remote control that provides access to all its functions. Connected with a single shielded Cat-5 cable, this remote control is equally at home on a desk or on the armrest of a large console, wherever the listening position may be.
Illuminated switches provide instant visual feedback of all settings, while the stepped volume knob activates the audiophile-grade relays in the main unit.
