18" Active Bass Reflex Subwoofer
The DAP NRG series consists of lightweight full-range speakers with 8" to 15" woofers and subwoofers with 12" to 18" drivers, available in passive and active versions. The series is designed for mobile DJ applications or permanent installations in small to medium-sized venues. All NRG speakers feature robust yet lightweight plywood cabinets, dual-angled pole mounts and M10 attachment points on full-range speakers, M20 adapters on subwoofers, professional-grade wear-resistant polyurethane coating and robust connectors to deliver exceptional sound quality at a very competitive price. The active NRG series is surprisingly lightweight, as the amplifiers utilize modern Class D technology and switched-mode power supplies. The integrated Bluetooth 5.0 receiver offers TWS (True Wireless Stereo) for quickly setting up a wireless stereo system. Crossover filters are implemented in the internal DSP and include presets for optimized frequency and phase-optimized for top/sub combinations with all NRG models. The best way to achieve exceptional sound and high output is to use a top and sub from the NRG range.The DAP NRG-18SA is an active subwoofer with 1000 watts peak power (500 watts continuous RMS). It uses an 18" woofer with dual 3" voice coil to deliver bass down to 45 hertz (-6 dB). It is powerful enough to comfortably produce up to 122 dB. It features an internal DSP with 4 useful modes for integration with an NRG full-range speaker or custom crossover frequency. The internal Class D amplifier is equipped with a switched-mode power supply to reduce weight and increase efficiency. The internal DSP also provides overload protection, short circuit protection and thermal protection. Two XLR combo jacks accept audio signal, which is looped to two XLR outputs to drive a full-range speaker or additional subwoofer. The robust and lightweight plywood cabinet features an M20 threaded insert for mounting a speaker pole. To get the best from the NRG-18SA, we recommend using it in combination with a full-range speaker from the NRG series.
