Stereo audio source selector and volume control
The DAP SC-5.2 Source Control is a stereo audio source selector with volume control and remote control for installation purposes. It enables you to adjust the volume and change audio sources on the unit itself, via the included infrared remote control or a separately available wall panel, the SC-WP1. It has 3 unbalanced audio line inputs with gold-plated RCA connectors, 1 balanced audio line input with a terminal plug suitable for long cables, and an additional summed mono audio input via the separately available SC-WP1 wall panel, which can be switched between line level and phone level. The output provides a balanced stereo audio signal via a terminal connector. The volume is set using a rotary encoder that controls a digital potentiometer for high-quality sound. The volume setting is indicated by LEDs.
The SC-WP1 wall panel is connected via a standard RJ45 port and shielded CAT5/CAT6 cables. An additional RJ45 input is available to control the SC-5.2 Source Control from an RS232/RS485-compatible device. An IR remote extension port is provided to connect an optionally available IR extension cable in cases where a direct line of sight between the remote control and the SC-5.2 unit cannot be achieved.
