The DAP WCSS-230 G2 is a set of two 6.5-inch 2-way white ceiling speakers, one with a built-in 2x 30 watt Class D amplifier, one passive, capable of streaming internet music via Ethernet and Wi-Fi. The Class D amplifier drives both speakers in mono or stereo and can be connected wirelessly via Wi-Fi to any Android and iOS device. No hub is required, and multi-room setup with multiple speaker sets is possible. It can also connect to a wired network via a standard RJ45 cable and stream internet audio.The Smart Sonix app (available for iOS and Android) allows you to set up and stream your music and favourite radio station from any music platform, such as Spotify, Deezer, or Tuneln. You can also configure settings for a multi-room installation. For example, you can stream different music to each speaker set and/or play the sets at different volume levels.
No tools are needed for installation due to a special mechanism. Thanks to the ultra-thin grille design, these speakers will be almost invisible once installed. The grille is held in place by powerful neodymium magnets but is also easily detachable to access the Wi-Fi connection (WPS) button. In addition to audio streaming, it also has a line input to connect wired audio sources. A volume limiter limits the output to 50% of the power (2x 15 watts). A 24-volt power supply is included.
