This is an easier and more convenient solution to configure a fixed audio installation. Practical design DAP Xi speakers can be positioned both horizontally and vertically. The logo can be rotated to match the speaker's position. In the Xi-8 and Xi-10 models, the horn is also rotatable to ensure the desired sound dispersion. Mounting options Multiple mounting options are possible as the compact yet powerful Xi series is designed to fit different locations. You can think of mounting brackets, a wall bracket and a speaker suspension ring for proper attachment to any wall, ceiling or truss. Excellent audio quality Despite their compact design, Xi speakers have excellent audio quality. Their 2-way system features a powerful subwoofer and a Celestion HF driver for improved sound performance. Variations Xi speakers range from a compact 5-inch model to a powerful 10-inch model. All four models (Xi-5, Xi-6, Xi-8 and Xi-10) are available in both white and black to suit any environment. The DAP Xi-5C is a compact, high-quality, multi-purpose speaker designed for clear and consistent coverage in retail, hospitality, theatre, auditorium, stage, live sound and corporate environments. It uses a premium 5” Celestion coaxial driver that delivers a coherent point source with excellent intelligibility and a smooth off-axis response. Despite its small footprint, the Xi-5C achieves up to 117 dB at 1m, with a frequency response of 80–20,000 Hz and a wide 100° dispersion, ensuring uniform coverage throughout the listening area. The internal crossover can be switched from passive to bi-amp mode for maximum system control. It handles up to 150W RMS (300W peak). With a nominal impedance of 16 ohms, multiple speakers can be run in parallel on a single amplifier channel in distributed configurations. Installation is fast and reliable thanks to two linked 4-pole speaker connectors (supporting both passive and bi-amp modes) for easy loop-through and a 4-pole terminal connector (passive mode only) with loop-through for fixed wiring. A threaded M6 mounting point on the top provides simple mounting options, the rear has holes for the universal DAP speaker bracket and the sides have holes for the dedicated Xi-5C suspension bracket. On the underside, an integrated 3/8” thread allows mounting on a (microphone) pole. The robust black coating and steel screen grille ensure durability and a discreet appearance that integrates into any interior.
