The EVENT-118A is an active subwoofer equipped with an 18” front-loaded transducer developed by DAS, designed to deliver accurate and deep bass reproduction.
As the complementary subwoofer to the EVENT-28A, it shares a compatible rigging system, allowing it to be flown above it.
The 18” 18FWN loudspeaker, designed by DAS, is crucial to the high performance of the EVENT-118A.
Optimized through finite element analysis (FEA), it features a neodymium magnet to reduce weight. The 18FWN with a 3” voice coil offers high efficiency and long excursion, ensuring deep and precise bass from the subwoofer.
The system is equipped with a Class D amplifier providing 200W of peak power, delivering suitable power for any environment.
Neutrik® XLR input connectors and a loop thru on the rear panel provide signal continuity for EVENT-28A systems or other components in a larger setup.
Selectable presets via the DAScontrol™ interface on the rear of the system simplify configuration, making it quick and intuitive.
The EVENT-118A also offers easy selection of cardioid presets when used in pairs or groups of three units, effectively reducing rear sound radiation and optimizing low-frequency coverage.
Constructed from birch plywood and finished with ISO-flex coating, the structure
of the EVENT-118A is very robust and built to last.
The rigging mechanics are fully compatible with the EVENT-28A, allowing for a variety of configurations, both flown and stacked.
