The VANTEC-118A is a front-loaded active bass system specifically designed for use
with the VANTEC-20A curved source line array. Compact in size, the unit can be flown in arrays
or ground stacked thanks to the rigging system compatible with the VANTEC-20A.
The electronic system includes a 2000 W peak Class D amplifier and a high-end 24-bit DSP for exceptional
audio reproduction. A unique "Deep-Loud" EQ switch allows users to adapt the bass output
to provide a low subwoofer-type response using the "Deep" setting or a more powerful performance
with the "Loud" setting. On the rear panel are controls for gain, polarity, and a continuously variable
low-pass filter ranging from 80 Hz to 125 Hz. The VANTEC-118A has a consistent phase response with other active tops
in the Vantec series, such as the VANTEC-20A, offering precise alignment without the need for external DSP.
