The PTC-305NDI is a professional PTZ camera with 20x optical zoom, featuring 4K 50 / 59.94 / 60p resolution to suit a wide variety of applications: video conferencing, distance learning, university lectures, meeting rooms/council chambers, places of worship, broadcasting, medical, etc.

Unlike the PTC-300NDI, it also adopts the NDI | HX3 network protocol in addition to NDI | HX2, a flexible and versatile solution that supports high-quality, low-latency, and frame-accurate video over standard Ethernet networks, and integrates it with OBS, Wirecast, vMix, xSplit and NDI Studio Monitor software applications.

Another distinctive feature of the PTC-305NDI is its auto-tracking. If you are filming multiple people, you can choose one of them for automatic tracking; once locked onto the camera, only the designated person will be tracked, avoiding interference with others moving back and forth, or with desks and large objects. The integrated PID algorithm can detect the movement speed of the identified object and automatically adjust the corresponding Pan, Tilt, and zoom speeds of the camera so that the lens movement is smooth, avoiding common problems of jerky movements or unexpected stops.

This PTZ can be easily controlled via the traditional RS-422/RS-232 serial port using the 4-channel RMC-180 camera controller from the same brand, IP remote control via DVIP (Datavideo's proprietary protocol) or Sony VISCA over IP, and finally by adopting PTZ View Assist. This is an App that can control up to 4 cameras simultaneously via DVIP; you can intuitively configure and recall presets and adjust white balance, focus, and aperture. The app, for iOS and Android, can decode live streaming via RTSP, SRT, and NDI | HX3. Easily monitor live streaming video and promptly set parameters in a single application. The PTC-305NDI allows dual streaming output for A/V market applications, so you can easily stream to Facebook (RTMPS) and YouTube simultaneously. It also works with dvCloud.

Regarding the optical/electronic sector, it boasts a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor, larger than that of competing models, synonymous with excellent performance in low light conditions. Larger dimensions, with the same number of pixels, mean a better S/N ratio, and therefore less video noise with superior overall image quality. We therefore find a 20x optical zoom (16x digital) associated with a particularly bright lens (f/1.58 – f/3.95) in relation to its wide focal range. The presence of a powerful optical zoom allows you to bring the subject closer even when the camera is very far from it, which makes it particularly useful for large rooms or auditoriums.

The 4K video output interfaces are HDMI 2.0, IP up to 2160p 50/60 fps, and also 3G-SDI up to 1080p 60/50 fps, and there is also support for simultaneous 2160p and 1080p (3G-SDI) video output. There is also an audio input / line in (switchable on the web user interface). Finally, the PTC-305NDI supports PoE for easy installation. Simply use a single CAT 6 cable to power the PTZ.

The features are completed by the green/red Tally light to show the preview and program status for broadcast applications.
