Datavideo PTR-10 MARK II is a robotic Pan / Tilt head designed to transform any small-sized camera into a fully remotely controllable PTZ camera. Events such as concerts, theatrical performances, church ceremonies, and any other situation involving moving subjects often do not have budgets that allow for hiring one or more video operators, especially in small productions. In some of these cases, PTZ cameras can be used as a workaround, but for even higher quality results, you would need to use a mirrorless camera or a cinema camera. PTR-10 MARK II is designed for precisely this type of video camera, allowing you to attach any compatible camera/camcorder/box camera or camcorder with the most suitable lens, to transform it into a remotely controllable PTZ.
PTR-10 MARK II is made of an aluminum alloy for maximum robustness and lightness. It supports a maximum weight of 4 kg. It can be fixed to a tripod, or placed on a surface, mounted on the wall or ceiling, for maximum flexibility in video productions. The camera is attached to the PTR-10 MARK II via an aluminum plate with a standard ¼” screw. The 340° pan range is almost a complete rotation, while the tilt is ±45°. The respective movement speeds are variable between 0.12 – 15° / s for Pan and 0.06 – 10° / s for Tilt.
The features are completed by the presence of a Tally light, support for PoE++ and the D-tap connector for DC power, selectable for various cameras between 7.4 / 8.4 / 10 and 12 V, widely used in the broadcast industry. Both the camera and the zoom controller are powered by the PTR-10 MARK II, which also supports many signal interfaces for pass-through. These include SDI, HDMI, RS-232, RS-422, DVIP, Tally, and LANC: this allows all cables on the moving head to be separated from the base, preventing them from tangling during movement.

The Datavideo PTR-10 MARK II motorized head can be controlled in various ways:

• Using the included IR controller
• From a universal controller based on the VISCA protocol
• Using the Datavideo RMC-180 Camera, which can manage up to 4 cameras
• Using the Datavideo RMC-300° (up to 24 cameras in DVIP)
• With DVIP over Ethernet and other integration solutions such as Crestron

It also implements LanC control compatible with a wide range of professional video cameras, allowing you to select the best camcorders for your needs. When video production requires many different angles and positions, 50 presets come to the rescue, which can also be recalled from the IR remote control. The only optional accessory provided for PTR-10 MARK II is the ZEK-1 Zoom Encoder Kit.
