The EVE AUDIO SC207 is a 6.5" studio monitor specifically designed for home listening and project & professional audio recording studios.
The Air Motion Transformer ribbon tweeter, compared to ribbon transducers used by other brands, has been improved to achieve more accurate sound reproduction. The front apertures have also been increased to reduce sound coloration, and, if desired, a magnetic fastening system allows for quick removal of the protective grille. Sonically, this tweeter allows for less intrusive and aggressive reproduction of high frequencies, with a bandwidth up to 21KHz.
The woofer is made of honeycomb fiberglass. This characteristic makes it lightweight and rigid at the same time, resulting in an extremely precise and accurate low-frequency response.
To avoid the typical effects of digital processing, the EVE AUDIO SC207 is equipped with a high-quality Burr-Brown A/D converter, which provides a pure signal to the high-resolution DSP system. Furthermore, the direct connection of the DSP section to the PWM amplifiers avoids an additional (D/A) conversion.
Positioning at the rear of the cabinet allowed for very wide low-frequency ports, drastically reducing internal turbulence and consequent distortion.
Great attention has been paid to sound balance, particularly to the reproduction of mid-range frequencies, which are often unintelligible in many monitors with ribbon tweeters produced by other companies.
The entire range of EVE monitors is equipped with a sophisticated DSP-based filter system, allowing the speakers' response to be adapted to the working environment and individual needs.
Volume control and all filter adjustments for acoustic response can be made with a single, convenient knob with a push function, located on the front panel. To avoid unwanted changes, it is possible to disable the modification of one or more parameters with specific switches on the rear panel.
