6.5" Studio Monitor

The EVE AUDIO SC307 is a studio monitor equipped with two woofers, one for bass and the other for mid-bass, made of honeycomb fiberglass. This feature makes it lightweight and rigid at the same time, resulting in an extremely precise and accurate low and mid-frequency response. Normally, with this type of configuration, manufacturers provide two different speakers for the right and left sides. EVE Audio, however, has provided a switch to invert the functionalities of the woofer and mid-woofer, making the monitors identical and interchangeable, and also allowing the user to change the "lateral" or "central" position of the woofer without moving the monitors. This monitor can also be effectively used as a central speaker in a surround system.
Compared to the ribbon transducers used by other brands, EVE Audio's tweeters have been improved to achieve more accurate sound reproduction. The front openings have also been increased to reduce sound coloration, and, if desired, thanks to a magnetic fastening system, the protective grille can be quickly removed. From a sonic perspective, these tweeters allow for less intrusive and aggressive reproduction of high frequencies, with a frequency response up to 21KHz. To maintain perfect sound balance, these models are equipped with the AMT RS2 tweeter, featuring a more powerful magnet and a larger plate.
To avoid the typical effects of digital processing, EVE monitors are equipped with a very high-quality Burr-Brown A/D converter, which provides a pure signal to the high-resolution DSP system. Furthermore, the direct connection of the DSP section to the PWM amplifiers avoids further (D/A) conversion.
Positioning the ports at the rear of the cabinet has allowed for very large low-frequency ports, drastically reducing internal turbulence and subsequent distortion.
Much attention has been paid to sound balance and, in particular, to the reproduction of mid-frequencies, which are often unintelligible in many ribbon tweeter monitors produced by other companies.
The entire range of EVE monitors is equipped with a sophisticated DSP-based filter system, which allows the speakers' response to be adapted to the working environment and individual needs.
Volume control and all acoustic response filter adjustments can be made with a single, convenient push-button knob on the front panel. And to prevent unwanted changes, it is possible to disable the modification of one or more parameters with specific switches on the rear panel.
