6.5" Near/Mid-Field Monitor
The EVE AUDIO SC3070 is a high-resolution, tri-amplified near/mid-field studio monitor, optimized for extremely precise midrange and powerful bass response, making it particularly suitable for applications where the full set of skills of a 3-way system is required, but where space is limited. This 3-way model achieves the exceptional reproduction in the midrange allowed by the mid-high section of the SC407 (4-way) model, with exceptional balance and low distortion across the entire frequency range, but in a much more compact cabinet.
EVE Audio's Air Motion Transformer RS3 is combined with a specially designed 4" midrange driver to give the EVE AUDIO SC3070 an accurate and non-hyperactive transmission of high and mid frequencies without being tiring. A 7" woofer completes the EVE AUDIO SC3070, providing precise and powerful low frequencies.
The low and mid-frequency drivers are the same SilverCone drivers found in other EVE Audio models that have proven their worth in top studios around the world. These drivers work with a low-distortion copper-coated magnet system that significantly reduces the distortion factor. The fiberglass-coated membrane material consists of a solid honeycomb structure to ensure true tonal reproduction.
Like all EVE Audio monitors, the EVE AUDIO SC3070 features high-resolution DSP electronics. A high-quality analog-to-digital converter from BurrBrown (24bit/192kHz) converts the signal from the analog XLR or RCA input. The DSP ensures latency-free filtering and simultaneously protects the entire frequency range from overloads. Upon power-up, the volume of the EVE AUDIO SC3070 slowly increases to allow enough time to reduce the source volume if the input signal is too strong.
Acoustic environment adjustments can be made via the rotary encoder with push and front LED ring. This knob allows you to adjust the system volume and filters for environmental variables (low shelf filters, mid EQ, and high shelf filters). All settings are displayed on the LED ring, providing instant information about the selected values. The brightness of the LED ring can also be adjusted for dark studios or video applications.
Three high-quality Class D amplifiers complete the system and provide sufficient power to meet the demands of modern music production. To prevent unauthorized or unintentional adjustments, the volume and/or filter settings can be locked (independently) with DIP switches located on the back of the amplifier.
The rear bass reflex port is designed for low flow noise and reinforces the powerful and precise bass reproduction.
