The EVE AUDIO SC4070 is a studio monitor featuring an advanced tweeter/midrange section that further enhances its ability to reproduce low frequencies thanks to two 6.5″ woofers connected to a very powerful amplifier array. The two woofers reduce distortion even at high SPLs and offer incredibly precise and homogeneous bass reproduction, as well as an extremely linear overall response.
The attractive and massive silver aluminum central plate is more than just a design feature. It not only houses the midrange speaker and the AMT tweeter, but it is rotatable to make the monitor equally suitable for vertical or horizontal placement. Room adaptation filters and volume control are accessible via the SMART knob with an LED ring, which indicates all settings with maximum precision.
The beveled, ultra-rigid front plate reduces unwanted resonances and diffraction, while the sophisticated cabinet completes the elegant design of the SC4070.
The 4-way listening system of the EVE AUDIO SC4070 consists of two 6.5″ SilverCone woofers with a special 1.5″ voice coil to extend the low-frequency response down to 32Hz. Both woofers work simultaneously up to 280Hz.
The specially developed 4″ SilverCone midrange driver joins the high-quality woofers to give this speaker greater linear excursion and a clear, precise midrange.
Both the dedicated midrange driver and the bass drivers feature very low-distortion copper magnets. The combination of the exclusive glass fiber coated diaphragm with the very rigid yet lightweight honeycomb structure ensures a spectacularly clear and detailed sound.
Completing the speaker set, the EVE AUDIO SC4070 includes an Air Motion Transformer AMT RS3.1 tweeter with Eve Audio's proprietary technology.
The core of this AMT tweeter is a folded diaphragm that operates within a powerful magnetic field generated by a large neodymium magnet. Unlike the previous generation, the AMT RS3.1 tweeter has been made with new materials, improved internal damping construction, and an even more efficient magnetic field, offering higher sound pressure with virtually no distortion even at high output levels.
Each chassis of the EVE AUDIO SC4070 is equipped with a PWM amplifier for a total short-term output power of 1000 W. With a maximum output level of 126dB (SPL @ 1m, half space, pair) mixes can be accurately judged, whatever their intended output level.
The EVE AUDIO SC4070 combines powerful and accurate bass with extremely transparent mids and crystal clear yet silky smooth highs. It is perfect for placement in medium to large control rooms where quality and consistent output power are important variables.
As with all other EVE Audio studio monitors, for greater versatility, the EVE AUDIO SC4070 features balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs.
The EVE AUDIO SC4070 is equipped with high-resolution DSP electronics. A high-quality analog-to-digital converter from BurrBrown (24bit/ 192kHz) converts the signal from the analog XLR or RCA input. The DSP ensures latency-free filtering and simultaneously protects the entire frequency range from overloads.
Upon power-up, the volume of the EVE AUDIO SC4070 slowly increases to allow enough time to reduce the source volume if the input signal is too strong.
Acoustic room adjustments can be made via the rotary encoder with push and front LED ring. This knob allows you to adjust the system volume and filters for environmental variables (low shelf, mid EQ, and high shelf filters). All settings are displayed on the LED ring, providing instant information about the selected values. The brightness of the LED ring can also be adjusted for dark studios or video applications.
Class D amplifiers complete the system and provide sufficient power to meet the demands of modern music production. To prevent unauthorized or unintentional adjustments, the volume and/or filter settings can be locked (independently) with DIP switches located on the back of the speaker.
