The FOCAL ALPHA TWIN EVO is a horizontal studio monitor with an attractive and modern design, featuring two 6.5" Slatefiber woofers and a 1" inverted dome aluminum tweeter. Amplified with 100W (2x50W) for the lows and 30W for the highs, delivering a maximum SPL of 108dB, it offers a frequency response from 38Hz to 22kHz.
With the FOCAL ALPHA TWIN EVO, Focal has revamped the design, introduced new technologies, and enhanced versatility, thanks to a 1/4” TRS jack input, in addition to XLR and RCA connections. Focal Professional's Alpha EVO series offers high performance at a price point suitable for home and project studios, musicians, and DJ producers.
Designed for music production and listening, the FOCAL ALPHA TWIN EVO ensures excellent sound coherence. To optimize performance, Focal chose a 1" inverted dome aluminum tweeter for optimal and wide high-frequency dispersion within the listening area, and a special Slatefiber cone. The two 6.5" (16.5cm) mid-bass woofers integrated into this model are exclusively produced by Focal in their Saint-Etienne factory and are distinguished by being made of recycled carbon fiber blended with thermoplastic polymer. This compound gives the cones a unique and pleasant bluish tint. The combination of these two materials results in remarkable acoustic performance in terms of transduction speed, rigidity, and damping, providing excellent dynamic rendition and a more natural balance across the spectrum.
The FOCAL ALPHA TWIN EVO cabinet is made of 15mm thick MDF, reinforced by an internal structure that makes them extremely robust, minimizing acoustic susceptibility even at high sound pressure levels. The dimensions of this model are 260x550x290mm, and the weight of each speaker is 12.2KG. The bass-reflex ports each utilize a large front opening located below their respective woofers, for laminar airflow aimed at containing turbulence and distortion in the reproduced signal. This translates into excellent integration into any listening setup.
