Open-back High-Fidelity Headphones

Clear Mg Professional is an open-back circumaural headphone designed for music producers who require high-quality listening and a faithful and fast transduction of the audio signal, which in this model is performed through an "M-shaped" magnesium inverted dome driver. Developed after 4 years of research and development by Focal engineers, this newly designed diaphragm incorporates the main elements needed to create a professional headphone such as lightness, rigidity, and damping capability. Sonic characteristics typical of the HI-FI headphone world - in which the St. Etienne brand has established itself since 2016 - are combined with the comfort and precision required by mixing engineers.

Precision and dynamics in Focal Clear MG Pro

Thanks to the new all-magnesium diaphragm combined with a 25mm diameter and 5.5mm high voice coil, the resulting sound experience is precise, rich in detail across the entire spectrum, and respectful of tonal balance. The honeycomb grille located on the inside of the earcups extends the high-frequency response and, following the "M" profile of the cone, helps reduce reflections and negative effects. With an uncompromising extension up to 24kHz (maximum extension 28 kHz), the transient response and high frequencies will be extremely faithful and linear. The wide-mesh grille on the outside of the earcups provides a greater sense of spaciousness compared to classic headphone listening, for a better representation of the sound field, very similar to listening through your studio monitors. The low impedance (55 Ohm) allows these open-back headphones to be used on the go, connected directly to computers.

Comfortable with luxury finishes

In designing the Focal Clear Mg Professional headphones, meticulous attention was paid to aesthetics, modern yet understated as required by professionals, and to comfort. The constant curve headband design allows for an even distribution of the headphone's weight across the head, resting with padding covered by a perforated microfiber fabric. The outer part of the headband is lined with black leather. The yoke connecting the headband to the earcups is made of robust aluminum covered with a scratch-resistant textured black paint. The earcups rest gently on the ears with 2cm thick memory foam padding covered by a perforated microfiber layer. Included is a convenient hard case (thermoformed) for transporting your Focal Clear Mg Professional, two low-resistance pure copper OFC 24 AWG cables, and replacement earpad cushions.
