Optional ADC Card for Isa 428 and 828
The FOCUSRITE ISA 428/828 A/D CARD is an optional ADC card (-122dB A-weighted) with 8 Ch (up to 192kHz). AES (both single and dual wire), S/PDIF, ADAT™ formats are supported, with selectable sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192kHz (for ADAT above 48Khz, naturally, via 2 ports), internal or external word clock and 256X clock, S/N Ratio better than 121dBfs 'A-weighted'.
Connections are made via 2 x 25-pin D-type connectors and lightpipe standard; for word clock there are BNC In and Out connectors. Depending on the selected sample rate, the following output combinations can be used simultaneously:
- 48kHz or less: 8 AES + S/PDIF + 2 x 8 ADAT = max. 32 simultaneous outputs
- 96kHz: 8 AES* + S/PDIF + 8 ADAT = max. 24 simultaneous outputs
- 192kHz: 8 AES* + S/PDIF +4 ADAT** = max. 20 simultaneous outputs
NB: supports both single-wire and split-wire AES configurations; split-wire will obviously reduce the maximum number of simultaneous outputs.
