The FOCUSRITE ISA ADN8 is an optional card for Focusrite ISA 428 MkII and ISA 828 MkII preamplifiers, dedicated to 8-channel analog-to-digital conversion in Dante, AES3, and ADAT formats. The card operates at a maximum resolution of 24-bit/192kHz.
The FOCUSRITE ISA ADN8 offers Primary and Secondary DANTE connections via Ethernet ports (RJ45) for redundancy and automatic switchover in case of issues, a DB25 connector output (standard AES59 pin-out) for AES3 format, and a pair of TOSLINK connections for ADAT output (8 channels at 96kHz, 4 channels at 192kHz). Two BNC connectors are dedicated to Word Clock input and output for synchronization when integrated into digital audio peripheral chains. Sync to the DANTE network or synchronization of other instruments external to the DANTE network are also supported. The Dante outputs on the FOCUSRITE ISA ADN8 allow for network connection of ISA 428 MkII and ISA 828 MkII preamplifiers to all Focusrite RedNet series devices and Red interfaces, or any other commercially available Dante-equipped audio instrument. Metering and settings can be modified in the RedNet Control software, while routing configuration is easily managed in the Dante Controller software.
The FOCUSRITE ISA ADN8 comes (via download, upon registration on the manufacturer's website) with the Brainworx bx_console plug-in, the virtual channel strip that emulates the historic and sought-after Focusrite ISA 110 (equalizer) and ISA 130 (dynamics processor) modules.
