24bit/192kHz 4In/4Out USB Audio Interface
Scarlett brings professional audio quality from Focusrite wherever you're creating music. The 4th Generation Scarlett series features new microphone preamps with enhanced gain, providing up to 69dB of gain, and new converters derived from the Rednet series, offering a dynamic range of 116dB on inputs and an impressive 120dB on outputs. The headphone output has also been optimized in terms of impedance (300 Ohms) as well as dynamic range and power.
With the 4th Generation Scarlett 4i4 USB audio interface, recording and publishing your songs is easier than ever. Two quality microphone preamps with an impressive 69dB of Gain, professional-grade converters with a 120dB dynamic range, like those you would find in a high-end recording studio. The Air mode allows you to record with the style of a large studio console. Optimal sound from any headphones thanks to the dedicated output, which in your Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 4th Generation is not only freely assignable, making it perfect for live monitoring and DJ sets, but has also been improved to work with high impedance headphones. A complete DAW software and plugin kit including 3 months of Pro Tools Artist, Ableton Live Lite, and the Focusrite Hitmaker package, giving you access to Auto-Tune Access, Softube Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555 for electric guitar, the virtual synth MASSIVE by Native Instruments®, and much more. Focusrite Scarlett is the most used USB audio interface in the world. Join a community of over six million artists, including some of the biggest names in international music.
With Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen, you record with 192 kHz/24 bit converters identical to those in the Rednet interfaces, the flagship series of the Focusrite catalog found in countless professional recording studios worldwide. Capture every sonic detail.
Visual level control across the entire Gain Staging chain. Scarlett's dynamic Meter Halo LEDs allow you to quickly and easily set input gain levels for any sound source. Now, the Scarlett 4i4 also features the Meter Halo on the output, so the circumference of the potentiometer dedicated to setting the monitor output volume on your 4th Generation Scarlett will light up to indicate the output level and any distortion. On the inputs of your Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen, you can activate Auto Gain: press the button and play for ten seconds; Scarlett will set the perfect level for whatever you're recording.
Clip Safe is the new feature useful for preserving your played parts should the maximum input level, i.e., 0dBFS, be exceeded. When active, the signal will be subject to level analysis with a resolution of 96000 points per second, then implementing a combination of automatic analog adjustments on the preamps and digital adjustments via DSP. This combination of Auto Gain and Clip Safe will make your recordings simpler and more immediate: focus on your performance and less on the controls.
The renowned Air function, created to emulate the sound of Focusrite's classic analog consoles, has undergone significant improvement in this fourth generation series: analog presence and DSP-based saturation. We are free to apply only the analog or both as we please. Make your recorded tracks stand out in the mix. Once you've tried it, you won't be able to do without it.
A custom-designed headphone amplifier, with an impedance of 300 Ohms and an enviable dynamic range, creates the perfect conditions for the best sound reproduction you've ever gotten from a Scarlett interface. Thanks to independent volume controls on the headphone output and the Master monitor output, you can record, mix, and play back audio by setting the levels of both outputs as you wish. Even high impedance headphones will now sound louder and more linear with your 4th Generation Scarlett.
