About Gainlab Audio
Gainlab Audio is a Hungarian professional audio equipment company born from the experience of the Gainlab Studio in Budapest. Its founders, initially involved in the maintenance and modification of studio equipment, began developing custom circuits to improve their functionality and sonic characteristics, eventually leading to the design of completely original devices. After several years of development and the formation of a dedicated team, Gainlab Audio was introduced to the public at the end of 2020. The brand primarily manufactures high-end analog outboard gear, with a range that includes tube compressors, equalizers, saturators, and channel strips, characterized by original circuitry and an artisanal approach to design and production. Among their best-known products are the Dictator compressor, the Empress equalizer, the Governor, and the Bishop channel strip.
