The new version of the 8351, the 8351B, significantly improves the performance of the previous version thanks to higher sound pressure, additional filters for acoustic room compensation, equalized delay, and improved high-frequency response. They offer the same extraordinary sound imaging as their smaller siblings, the 8331 and 8341, but with the added benefit of higher SPL for listening at a greater distance. In addition, we have an even greater extension in the low frequencies. Like all models in The Ones series, the 8351 allows for faster and more decisive mixing choices, enabling intense work rhythms over longer sessions without fatigue – this is because the main cause of listening stress, an unnatural sound image, is reduced to a minimum. Thanks to the large integrated waveguide (DCW™), the 8351B can precisely control frequency directivity optimally with its two hidden woofers; the orientation can be both horizontal and vertical. As part of the Genelec SAM family, the 8351B can be configured, calibrated, and controlled via GLM software, adapting them to their acoustic space and compensating for any problems arising from the room's acoustic influence. Thus, whether working in stereo, surround, or other immersive formats, you can produce mixes that will translate smoothly into other environments and listening systems.
