Golden Age Project's EQ-73 PREMIER is inspired by the one found in the famous 1073 (with the exception of the high-pass filter). The sound character is warm, incisive, sweet, and musical. These classic sonorities can be heard in countless recordings and are applicable to most sound sources and musical genres. Compared to the 1073, the EQ-73 PREMIER includes additional selectable frequencies, and for optimal response, the mid-range adjustment uses two inductors, one of which – the one with the higher value – is used for the two lowest frequencies (160 Hz and 240 Hz). The EQ-73 PREMIER features two shelving filters for highs/lows and a bell filter for mids, each with a stepped frequency selector, bypass switch, and +/-15 dB control range (+/- 18dB for the high-frequency band). The EQ-73 PREMIER can be used as a standalone equalizer or connected to the insert connector of one of the Golden Age Premier or Project preamplifiers.
