The GOLDEN AGE PREMIER PREQ-73 is a 1073-style preamp with a 3-band inductor-based equalizer, featuring high-quality components and build quality. It is equipped with a separate line input transformer. The parametric equalizer has LF, MF, and HF filters with frequencies selectable by switches. These are 55/175Hz for the low-pass filter, 400Hz/1.6kHz/3.2kHz for the midrange filter, and 8kHz/12kHz for the high-frequency filter. The GOLDEN AGE PREMIER PREQ-73 features Carnhill transformers for Mic input and line output, a separate LINE input transformer, a classic 24-position GAIN/LINE switch, tantalum capacitors in the signal path, and polystyrene capacitors in the amplifier circuits.
