Vintage-style Equalizer
The GOLDEN AGE PROJECT EQ-81 MKIII is a 4-band semi-parametric vintage-style equalizer, perfect for use in conjunction with PRE-73 series preamps. Thanks to its balanced input and output connectors, the new MKIII version can also function standalone.
This equalizer is equipped with a Class AB circuit inspired by the famous 1081, which, with the exception of the high and low-pass filters, emulates its typical warm, incisive, and musical sound. The sonic characteristics of this unit can be heard in countless recordings and are applicable to most sound sources and musical genres.
The GOLDEN AGE PROJECT EQ-81 MKIII can operate over a wide range of frequencies, from 33 Hz to 15 kHz, adjustable via 4 stepped encoders. This equalizer features two selectable filters between shelving and bell for highs and lows, while the 2 mid bands are bell-type with adjustable Hi Q. The gain range for each band is +/- 18 dB.
