High-performance subwoofer based on a hybrid design for extended low-frequency reproduction below 28 Hz. Exceptional power reserves combined with minimal distortion make the hd Infra218 a modern yet flexible tool for touring applications and large-scale installations requiring extreme bass, high SPL, and excellent dispersion control.
The optimally tuned, horn-loaded, bass-reflex hybrid cabinet houses two special 18" long-excursion drivers with 5" voice coils. A large, flow-optimized central reflex port ensures minimal turbulence and distortion. The frequency response from 28 Hz to 120 Hz makes the Infra218 perfectly suited to extend the bass for all Harmonic Design speakers. Thanks to its long throw, high efficiency, and directivity, the hd Infra218 can be optimally integrated into Line Array applications.
Cardioid emission is generated passively with two or three stacked hd Infra218 units. An M20 threaded insert on the top and side of the cabinet allows for the insertion of a pole to secure satellite speakers or a spacer bar. High-strength PVC protection feet on two sides and corresponding recesses on the top of the enclosure ensure secure stacking.
speakON NL4 connectors, mounted on the rear of the recessed connection panel, are used to connect and route the input signal. A speakON socket in the protective front grille allows for cardioid configurations without special interchangeable cables.
