Passive 1-way column speaker for installation, characterized by an elegant appearance and excellent sound performance. The 24 x 2" full-range loudspeakers produce a cylindrical sound wave up to the highest audible frequencies. This type of loudspeaker is the best choice for human voice reproduction due to the reduced diaphragm weight and dimensions almost equal to those of human vocal cords.
To reproduce a sound event from the fundamental to the harmonics, conventional loudspeakers use two or three different types of transducers; this results in low coherence not only in the crossover areas, but also in the important mid-frequency range due to the different decay times and different diaphragm masses of the various transducer types and a different "response characteristic". Especially in the reproduction of instruments or dialogues where the fundamental range is covered by one type of transducer and the harmonic range by another type, the sound can be distorted. Here, the coherent 1-way design of the hd ML-Series column loudspeakers offers clear advantages: the full-range loudspeakers, which reproduce the range from fundamental tones to harmonics, combined with the Line Source configuration, make reproduction a first-class listening experience.
The extended frequency response and improved speech intelligibility compared to traditional column speakers make the hd ML24i LineArray Stick ideal for use in acoustically challenging environments such as churches, airports, conference rooms, or halls. The long throw up to 25 m and the 100° horizontal coverage ensure high efficiency with only a few speakers.
The M6 square cage nut slot on the rear of the speaker allows for connecting all mounts or a tilting tripod adapter. Internal clamping connections ensure quick, tool-free connection of the speakers. For optimal adaptation to the room architecture, the hd ML24i can be customized in all RAL colors and special lengths.
