hd MP12N is a multi-purpose full-range speaker specifically designed and optimized for fixed installations and mobile applications. The innovative design allows for a true linear response, not only as a flat frequency response, but also in dynamic range and all other acoustic parameters. Noteworthy are its fast transient reproduction, tonal balance, and clarity of detail.
It features a powerful 12" neodymium magnet woofer capable of handling 600 WRMS and 2400 W peak. The new neodymium high-frequency driver is coupled to a large rotatable horn; the particularly low crossover frequency ensures high directivity and controlled dispersion in the vocal range. The horn adopted on this model allows for 90° x 60° horizontal and vertical directivity characteristics. The special crossover ensures outstanding performance.
The acoustic and mechanical design of this speaker ensures consistent reproduction even without the use of an additional DSP; it can thus be easily connected to any standard power amplifier. The SuperVented cabinet design, combined with an extremely durable woofer voice coil and the neodymium magnet geometry assembly, makes the hd MP12N a full-range speaker that perfectly integrates into the Harmonic Design system philosophy by adding more hd Sub-Series or hd P-Series subwoofers as needed or using up to four hd MPs on a single amplifier channel.
The rounded, asymmetrical cabinet, allowing for monitor angles of 32 and 45°, is made of robust multiplex wood and features a weather-resistant polyurethane coating. The integrated 35 mm tripod adapter allows it to be used as a front system mounted on a pole. An ergonomic carrying handle is positioned on the top.
Three speakON connectors, two on the rear and one on the bottom, ensure invisible and kink-free cabling. A powder-coated steel grille with acoustic foam inside protects the loudspeakers. Numerous accessories and twelve integrated M8 mounting points offer maximum flexibility for sound reinforcement tasks that change daily.
In addition to the extremely robust black polyurethane paint finish, other RAL colors are also available.
