FEATURES

Column speaker with 32 x 3" full-range drivers housed in an elegant, rounded aluminum enclosure. The drivers couple to create a (nearly) cylindrical wavefront with a vertical aperture of 5°; the result is a constant sound pressure level and almost uniform sound reproduction from the first to the last row.

The long throw (up to 38 m) and 80° horizontal coverage allow for great efficiency with few loudspeakers. This results in more direct sound, offers greater speech intelligibility, and high feedback rejection in acoustically problematic rooms.

The hd PL i series column loudspeakers are ideal for restaurants, bars, airports, train stations, home theaters, conference rooms, hotels, A/V installations, public buildings, conference and media technologies, concert halls, and broadcasting.

To reproduce a sound program from fundamental to harmonic, conventional loudspeakers use two or three different types of transducers. This results in inconsistency not only near the crossover frequencies but also in the important mid-frequency range due to the different decay times and diaphragm masses of the different transducers. Especially in reproduction where the low range is covered by one type of transducer and the high range by another, the sound may be distorted. This is where the 1-way design of the PL i hd series comes in: full-range drivers covering the fundamental to harmonic range, the advantages of Line Array (cylindrical wave) and sound wave coherence, without "phasing" and group delay: a unique listening experience.

Internal clamping terminals ensure quick, tool-free speaker connection. A high-quality aluminum powder coating and acoustic foam complete the features of the PL i series. For optimal adaptation to the room architecture, the speaker can be customized in all RAL colors and with special lengths.
