The HEIL SOUND PR 28 is a cardioid dynamic microphone specifically designed for toms and snare drums or other percussion instruments such as bongos, congas, timbales, djembes, and more. However, the HEIL SOUND PR 28 is also suitable for all other applications where a wide frequency range and immaculate isolation are desired.
Heil Sound designed the HEIL SOUND PR 28 with a dual-suspension dynamic element to eliminate unwanted vibrations and noise, even in the most extreme settings; such as when placed above or below the drum kit with close-proximity monitors, bass cabinets, or other audio sources. In fact, the HEIL SOUND PR 28 diligently isolates the target tom from nearby ones even a few inches away, with precision and ease.
The HEIL SOUND PR 28 has the ability to withstand very high SPLs, which means it can deliver its best even to the hardest-hitting drummers, without overload or bleed-through. When paired with the optional (patent-pending) HH-1 mount, it attaches easily and stays exactly where you need it on the tom.
With bleed-through, you get a world-class drum microphone with a built-in microphone clip in a foam-lined box.
