HELVIA SONIX M8800 8INX8OUT MATRIX WITH TCP-IP AND USB
Estimated delivery in Italy between 22 and 24 July
FEATURES
The SoniX M8800 digital matrix, thanks to its powerful and flexible hardware and software architecture, is designed to be the heart of multi-zone audio systems for various types of installations. Its sophisticated processing and high-quality preamplifiers make it suitable for both conference solutions and multi-zone systems with up to 8 sources and 8 outputs. The considerable processing power of the processor and the flexibility of the Linux-based software environment make it scalable for future configurations with more inputs and outputs than current ones, as well as for the direct management and processing of signals and outputs. One of the strengths of this matrix is the great attention paid to the quality of the microphone preamplifiers, which in similar products from other competitors are often the most penalized part. The result is a background noise reduction down to -100dB, allowing for an extremely wide dynamic range even with rather low-level signals. In terms of control, versatility is the dominant feature. All functions can be controlled by the Windows® software, with its clean, functional, and intuitive interface, allowing for the programming of a significant number of processing functions in just a few minutes. Connection can be made via USB or TCP/IP. The SoniX M8800 can also manage up to 16 wall controls with touch displays via RS-485 and allows connection to third-party control equipment via TCT/IP and RS-232 protocols. Regarding the powerful audio processing functions, thanks to the 400MHz floating-point processing and the 1.2 GHz dual-core chip-based control, each input is equipped with an Adaptive Feedback Suppressor, Automatic Echo Cancellation, Automatic Input Gain Control, Noise Gate, 8-band parametric EQ, HPF & LPF filters with a slope of up to 48dB/octave, and a Limiter. Each output is equipped with an 8-band parametric EQ, HPF & LPF filters with a slope of up to 48dB/octave, a delay of up to 300ms, and a Limiter. The SoniX M8800 has two USB ports (one on the front panel, the other on the rear) which, in addition to allowing PC control, allow playback of playlists and real-time audio recording to and from external USB drives. Obviously, both playback and recording can be managed by the matrix as additional stereo sound sources and stereo audio outputs, freely configurable like all other inputs and outputs.
