Helvia's ZEUS CA series is designed for the world of small and medium-sized audio installations, whether on 70V or 100V constant voltage lines, or low impedance lines from 4 to 16 ohms. It offers Class-D amplifiers with 1, 2, and 4 channels, with RMS powers of 120W, 240W, and 350W. Each channel is independent and has its own line transformer, so it is possible to choose between 70/100V operation or low impedance between 4-16 ohms for each of them, offering maximum versatility depending on the needs of each zone. In addition to volume, LED VU-meter, and clip indicator, each channel is also equipped with gain adjustment via a trimmer on the rear panel. There is also a high-pass filter with a cut-off frequency of 400Hz. The input and output connections are all balanced with XLR connections; power outputs are on Phoenix (Europlug) connections. The 1 and 2-channel versions also have auxiliary 24V DC power for any auxiliary emergency lines. Helvia has paid great attention to the safety, reliability, and durability of these amplifiers. Each channel is equipped with a power-on mute system, signal limiter, thermal protection, and current limiting. The cooling system with a fan whose speed is controlled in relation to the internal temperature is also enhanced thanks to the standard 2U 19” rack format which promotes thermal dissipation. Quality is based not only on the selection of active and passive components, but also on the quality of the materials used in the line transformers and on the use of digital processing to offer stability, reliability, and high-level audio performance.
