For those who have always wanted to get the most out of their audio interface, it is now finally possible to make the most of it with the OST-8 ADAT. After listening to our customers' requests, we decided to respond to their needs. Many people rely on the ADAT format, and almost every professional sound card includes an ADAT connection. Therefore, incorporating an ADAT output is simply a logical progression for our designs. With the OST-8 ADAT, we have introduced an 8-slot 500 series rack with its own integrated premium converter to make capturing, processing, and digitizing signals at the highest possible quality a simple reality to achieve. Once again, Heritage Audio has relied on its proven On Slot Technology to ensure the cleanest and most protected environment for your valuable 500 series modules. Not only does it offer unparalleled filtering and isolation for each slot, but you can also be sure to get the best possible performance as each module is individually regulated, essentially providing its own dedicated power supply and ensuring it receives all the power it needs. There are two indicator lights for each slot confirming the use of the correct voltage (±16 V). The OST-8 ADAT incorporates a premium high-quality 24 Bit/192 kHz ADC converter that can operate as a MASTER or SLAVE unit with a BNC connector for synchronization via Word Clock. Straight out of the box, you already have a top-of-the-range 8-channel converter ready to use, with the possibility of gradually adding special 500 series modules to complete your unique recording or mixing rig. One of the most interesting features is the ability to individually select, per channel, the input routed to the ADC. This means you can choose between the signal directly from the INPUT, the signal after passing through the 500 module, or an EXTERNAL IN ADC signal. This latter option is very interesting as it offers further possibilities for signal processing before the conversion phase. The OST-8 ADAT is built with the same solidity as all Heritage Audio products and includes gold-plated XLR connectors, with duplicated inputs and outputs on DB25 connectors for added convenience.
