HERITAGE AUDIO MCM-32 32-Channel Summing Mixer
Estimated delivery in Italy between 18 and 22 June
32-channel Summing Mixer
HERITAGE AUDIO MCM-32 32-channel summing mixer arranged in 4 subgroups of 8. Each channel features detented Pan and Fader rotary controls, as well as balanced insert and mute switches.
The inserts always have the signal present, so they can be alternatively used as direct outputs for recording without additional patch bays.
Each group has its own stereo fader and balanced insert, and all 4 stereo subgroups are passively summed into the master bus. Gain is restored via a 10 A transformer-coupled microphone preamplifier, with a total of 4 transformers (1 input, 1 output on each channel).
The master section is also equipped with its own balanced insert.
All connections on the rear are made via DSUB 25 connectors following the Tascam protocol, with the exception of the master bus connections, which are via dedicated XLRs.
The intelligent summing topology employed in the MCM mixer series allows for impressive headroom and surprisingly low noise for a 32-channel vintage topology mixer. Particular attention has been paid to improving the diaphragms and self-noise figures from those of vintage designs, in order to accommodate the new MCM mixers in the digital era.
The transformer-based Class A output stage is capable of delivering an output of +26 dBu.
