HERITAGE AUDIO SUPER 8
Estimated delivery in Italy between 9 and 13 July
An all-in-one design to professionally capture and record up to 8 signals. Never before has it been so easy to get that classic, vibrant sound and have it instantly digitized and sent to a DAW. With this extremely portable unit, you can take your rig anywhere, ensuring the best possible results. With the ability to capture MIC, LINE or INSTRUMENT level signals, all needs are covered. The built-in analog-to-digital converter uses the latest technology to deliver crystal clear conversion at a user-selectable sample rate. The Super 8 can be the Master or Slave unit with BNC IN and OUT connectors for reliable synchronization. It also offers an alternative path to the converter via a DB25 connector to expand the unit's flexibility. The Super 8 offers a fantastic and compact solution when several high-quality preamps and top-notch conversion are needed. Using our expertise in building Class A 73 preamplifiers, we have managed to fit 8 MIC/Line preamps into a robust 2-unit rack. All 8 are true to our all-Class A 3-stage design with Carnhill transformers on input and output. The first two channels also include our high-quality JFET DI and a fully variable low-cut filter. All 8 channels include switches for 48 V, Line, low-cut (-3 dB at 82 Hz) and Phase. The built-in analog-to-digital conversion is available in 3 digital formats: ADAT, AES/EBU and SPDIF with BNC connectors for reliable word clock synchronization. Selectable sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz. Not only can the outputs of the MIC/Line preamps be sent directly to the ADC, but there is also the option to choose an alternative input, per channel, for digital conversion, making this an extremely flexible unit. • Microphone input impedance channels 1 and 2 only: High=1200 Ω minimum; Low=300 Ω minimum. Higher gain positions have gradually higher impedances, optimal for low-gain ribbon microphones. Transformer-balanced and floating input • Microphone input impedance channels 3-8 only: High=1200 Ω minimum • Line input impedance: 10 kΩ bridging, transformer-balanced and floating • Output impedance: less than 75 Ω, transformer-balanced and floating, to drive a 600 Ω load • DI input impedance: greater than 2 MΩ, unbalanced (channels 1 and 2 only) • Maximum output: greater than +26.5 dBu into 600 Ω (internally terminated) • THD: less than 0.025% at 1 kHz, less than 0.05% at 100 Hz • Frequency response: 20 Hz (+0.3 dB) - 20 kHz (-0.2 dB) • Maximum gain: slightly greater than 80 dB • Equivalent input noise: less than -125 dBu • Output stage noise: less than -100 dBu
