The Lark C1 DUO is an ultra-compact wireless microphone system consisting of two transmitters based on 2.4 GHz wireless technology with active noise cancellation and a receiver, which connects to an Android smartphone, to monitor and record received audio in high quality at 16 bit / 48 kHz on mobile devices. With a range of up to 200 m line-of-sight, the Lark C1 DUO offers a wide range of features, enhanced by the versatility of the dedicated LarkSound App and a transmitter battery life of up to 8 hours for an unprecedented all-day recording experience.
The transmitter measures only 48 x 21.5 x 10 mm and weighs 11.5 g. This unique form factor allows the TX to be discreetly clipped to a shirt collar or jacket lapel, just like a lavalier microphone, without the need for a cable to the bodypack. Comfortable to wear and durable, the TX also incorporates the microphone, which has an omnidirectional polar pattern and ensures a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz. Apart from the power button, there is only one button on the transmitter body, which performs a dual function: pairing with the receiver and activating Noise Cancellation. The Lark C1 DUO, in fact, adopts an active noise cancellation system based on advanced proprietary Hollyland sound processing technologies. Enhanced acoustic algorithms help suppress unwanted ambient noise to deliver clear sound in all circumstances. The transmitter is charged via a USB-C port or via the charging case (Charging Case), supplied with the DUO kits.
The Plug & Play receiver, common to all Hollyland Lark C1 kits, plugs directly into the USB-C port of your Android and is immediately ready for use. Audio is recorded directly to the mobile device via an App that must be installed and allows you to control various operating parameters: view the TX battery percentage, adjust the amount of noise cancellation, control the recording volume, etc. Real-time audio playback on the mobile phone's speaker occurs without the need to disconnect the RX from it, thus providing immediate monitoring of audio quality.
Compact in size (48.3 x 27.6 x 9 mm) and very light (7 g), this receiver is powered directly by the mobile device to which it is connected, so it has no internal battery, and has only the pairing button for coupling with the transmitter (which takes about 6 s) and the USB-C pass-through socket for charging the smartphone.
In addition to housing and protecting the two Lark C1 DUO transmitters and their receiver, the Charging Case has a top closure and features an internal 1400 mAh battery that charges in 1.5 hours and allows the two transmitters it contains to be charged simultaneously three times before needing to be recharged. The system offers 32 hours of battery life for the two TXs when the Charging Case is fully charged. In addition to the charging case, DUO kits include two fur windshields for the transmitters and a zippered pouch to store everything. All devices, including the Charging Case, are black.
