IK MULTIMEDIA IRG KEYS + IRIG PAD is a MIDI keyboard and pad controller bundle consisting of iRig KEYS and iRig Pads.
iRig KEYS is the first universal, ultra-slim, and highly portable MIDI controller keyboard for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Mac/PC. It features 37 velocity-sensitive mini-keys, a 3-octave range plus one note. It can be powered by an iPhone/iPod touch/iPad or the USB port of a Mac/PC.
iRig Pads is a compact and lightweight groove controller, designed to be carried in any laptop bag or backpack. It is powered directly by the connected device via a Lightning connection or a USB cable (included). iRig Pads features a 4x4 grid of velocity-sensitive, backlit rubber pads with color-coding. Each pad can display three different colors—red, green, and orange—to adapt to the MIDI information received from the device. There are also two knobs, two buttons, a slider, and a push-button rotary encoder. All controls are MIDI-assignable and customizable. Additionally, up to 16 MIDI maps, or scenes, can be saved to control apps and software. iRig Pads comes with 6 pre-programmed scenes ready to adapt to the most commonly used apps and software. Of course, you can launch samples, beats, loops, and anything else you can do with MIDI. However, IK Multimedia has made the controller fully compatible with the free SampleTank app, and support for GrooveMaker and DJ Rig will be available soon. For Mac and PC users, SampleTank 3 SE software is included, usable both standalone and as a virtual instrument within major DAWs, with 6.5GB of samples, over 400 instruments, and 150 MIDI patterns. In addition, iRig Pads users can download The Grid, a free collection of 50 instruments, 800 samples, and 50 MIDI patterns for SampleTank on iOS, Mac, and PC.
