iRig Pads is a powerful 16-pad MIDI groove controller for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and PC. Extremely versatile, it allows you to compose beats, launch loops, mix like a DJ, and much more, both on stage and in the studio. If you are an electronic music producer, iRig Pads will be a formidable companion. iRig Pads is smaller than an iPad and is just over 2 cm (23mm) thick, boasting a slim and elegant design that allows it to easily fit in a bag and be transported with ease. Furthermore, it does not require adapters or batteries to operate; simply connect it to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch via Lightning cable or to your Mac/PC via USB cable (both included). The 30-pin cable is available for purchase separately. Each of the 16 rubber pads responds dynamically to velocity, and the multicolored backlighting varies according to this parameter. Depending on the velocity values and the MIDI information sent by the app in use, we will have colors ranging from red to green, orange, and all intermediate shades. iRig Pads offers much more than common MIDI groove controllers. On the front panel, in fact, you can find several controls – two knobs, two buttons, one button with rotary encoder and one slider – to which you can freely assign specific functions and customize according to your needs. iRig Pads allows you to have full control of all MIDI functions comfortably from your computer thanks to the iRig Pads Editor, a free, simple and intuitive software for Mac and PC. This way you can integrate iRig Pads into your workflow without interrupting the creative process. The 16-pad layout of iRig Pads makes it perfect for producing beats on the go. With iRig Pads you also receive a free copy of SampleTank 4 SE for Mac and PC, IK Multimedia's revolutionary workstation, which includes a library with over 30 GB of sounds and 2000 instruments.
