Korg Handytraxx is a portable turntable powered by AAA batteries or USB C (also compatible with power banks), featuring advanced functions and effects: Looper, Delay and multimode filter. It plays vinyl records at 33, 45 and 78 rpm, has pitch control, interchangeable crossfader with reverse function and shell with "MM" mounting system for your preferred stylus.

Building on the legacy of the iconic Handy Trax turntable by Vestax, KORG Inc. is proud to announce a collaboration with the late former president of Vestax, Toshihide Nakama. Toshihide served as a consultant for this new version of the portable turntable, which aims to become the preferred instrument for portablism. Compact and lightweight, it runs on AAA batteries or a power bank thanks to the USB C port and features an integrated 2.5W speaker for on-the-road listening.

Effects and Looper on the road and on stage!

In addition to playback at 33, 45 and 78 rpm and rotary pitch control, this portable turntable for DJs features a looper (Rec, Stop, Play) with playback at normal, half or double speed and independent volume control, a Multimode Filter (button selection) with rotary potentiometer for cutoff control, and a Delay with level fader, on/off button and rotary controls for time and feedback. Completing the list of controls are bypass functions for scratch and effects and a potentiometer for "Master" volume control.

The three types of filter:

- DJ Filter (combined low-pass and high-pass).

- EQ Filter with bass isolator.

- WAH Filter with modulation

The integrated looper allows you to capture and playback sound from a record in real time (live looping). This tool offers unique creative possibilities: DJ-style mixing, recording favorite sounds and transitioning from one record to another without interrupting the loop.

Scratch and DJing without compromise

The crossfader is extremely smooth, with reverse function. The handytraxx play has been meticulously designed to deliver an exceptional scratch experience. The high-quality fader, developed under the guidance of Nakama, offers super smooth and precise movement, minimizing "mute" zones for precise cuts and transitions. Both beginners and experienced turntablists will appreciate the responsiveness and the ability to reverse the crossfader channels. Every detail of the fader has been optimized to enhance performance while maintaining the portability that defines this instrument.

Cue/headphone monitoring allows you to use the looper while listening to the playing record.

Korg Handytraxx is customizable

From the removable platter to the interchangeable crossfader. You can mount your preferred cartridge thanks to the shell with "MM" connector. A switch on the panel allows you to adapt the turntable for use with ceramic or magnetic cartridges.

Korg Handytraxx adds creative and unique features that go beyond normal listening turntables or DJ turntables, ensuring richer and more expressive performances for the artist or enthusiast.

Thank you Toshihide Nakama AKA Toshi

Toshihide Nakama is the former president of Vestax, a company beloved by DJs worldwide. He was involved in the design of their portable turntable Handy Trax. Respecting the original, Korg worked with Toshi to develop the new Handytraxx, leveraging digital audio processing technology to create a new portable turntable. Unfortunately, Toshi suddenly passed away on June 10, 2023 during the development of handytraxx. Inheriting his passion and philosophy, Korg continues the development of the new handytraxx and we all look forward to bringing it to your homes and consoles soon. Rest in peace Toshi.
