Korg Handytraxx is a portable turntable powered by AAA batteries or USB C (also with a power bank), equipped with advanced functions and effects: Looper, Delay, and multimode filter. It plays 33, 45, and 78 RPM vinyl records, features pitch control, an interchangeable crossfader with reverse function, and a headshell with "MM" mounting for installing your favorite stylus.

Building on the legacy of Vestax's iconic Handy Trax turntable, KORG Inc. is proud to announce a collaboration with the late former Vestax president, Toshihide Nakama. Toshihide was a consultant for this new version of the portable turntable, aiming to make it the preferred tool for portablism. Compact and lightweight, it is powered by AAA batteries or a power bank via its USB C port and features a built-in 2.5W speaker for on-the-road listening.

Effects and Looper on the road and on stage!

In addition to 33, 45, and 78 RPM playback and rotary pitch control, this portable DJ turntable features a looper (Rec, Stop, Play) with normal, halved, or doubled speed playback and independent volume control, a multimode filter (button selection) with a rotary potentiometer for cutoff management, and a Delay with fader level control, on/off button, and rotary controls for time and feedback. Rounding out the list of controls are a Bypass for scratch functions and effects, and a potentiometer for "Master" volume control.

- DJ Filter (combined low-pass and high-pass).

- EQ Filter with bass isolator.

- WAH Filter with modulation

The integrated looper allows you to capture and play back the sound of a record in real-time (live looping). This tool offers unique creative possibilities: DJ-style mixing, recording favorite sounds, and transitioning from one record to another without interrupting the loop.

Scratch and DJing without compromise

The crossfader is extremely smooth, with a reverse function. The handytraxx play has been meticulously designed to offer an exceptional scratch experience. The high-quality fader, developed under Nakama's guidance, provides super smooth and precise movement, minimizing "dead" zones for accurate cuts and transitions. Both beginners and experienced portablists will appreciate the responsiveness and the ability to reverse the crossfader channels. Every detail of the fader has been optimized to enhance performance while maintaining the portability that defines this instrument.

Headphone cueing/monitoring allows the looper to be used while listening to the record playing.

Korg Handytraxx is customizable

From the removable faceplate to the interchangeable crossfader. You can mount your favorite stylus thanks to the headshell with an "MM" attachment. A switch on the panel allows the turntable to be adapted for use with ceramic or magnetic styli.

Korg Handytraxx adds creative and unique functions that go beyond normal turntables for listening or DJing, thus ensuring richer and more expressive performances for the artist or enthusiast.

Toshihide Nakama is the former president of Vestax, a company beloved by DJs worldwide. He was involved in the design of their portable turntable, the Handy Trax. Respecting the original, Korg worked with Toshi to develop the new Handytraxx, leveraging digital audio processing technology to create a new portable turntable. Sadly, Toshi suddenly passed away on June 10, 2023, during the development of Handytraxx. Inheriting his passion and philosophy, Korg continues the development of the new Handytraxx, and we all look forward to bringing it into your homes and to your consoles soon. Rest in peace, Toshi.
