Korg KAOSS REPLAY

Korg Kaoss Replay is a signal processor equipped with 128 effects controllable in real-time from the 5-inch OLED touch screen and featuring an advanced sampling and audio playback system managed by 16 high-quality velocity-sensitive pads. It offers 128 sample slots (16 pads x 8 banks) for each of the 100 projects, conveniently storable on a microSD card (up to 32GB). Samples can be edited using the touch screen, and there's a 12-point Hot Cue function that allows you to "play" them musically. The instrument accepts phono and line signals via RCA inputs, a dynamic microphone in the ¼” jack connector, and features audio and MIDI connectivity via USB (micro B) and MIDI IN and Out ports on 5-pin DIN connectors.

Building on the legacy and experience of the Kaoss Pad series, the KAOSS Replay offers users a revamped range of 128 effects: from filters to delays, from reverbs to modulation effects, from loopers to vocoders, as well as some synths. KAOSS Replay also introduces a new range of effects designed for vocals, to impress modern performers: from subtle vocal correction to forced pitch correction.

The PAD MOTION function allows you to automate your effects, creating parameter control patterns. To set a specific parameter value, you can use the TOUCH HOLD mode when you find the perfect setting by interacting with the touch pad. The FX Release function ensures smooth, seamless transitions between effects.

With a dedicated jack input for dynamic microphones, Korg KAOSS Replay simplifies the process of playing, performing with your tracks, and engaging in improvisation with creative sound effects like never before.

Beyond Effects: Sampler and Looper

With 16 high-quality velocity-sensitive pads, KAOSS Replay simplifies and streamlines playing, sampling, or resamling thanks to 128 slots divided into 8 banks per project (up to 100 total projects), conveniently storable on a microSD card. Enriched with a two-group sample assignment system with dedicated faders, along with BPM velocity detection, synchronization, and quantization capabilities, the KAOSS Replay offers a complete solution for modern performers. Furthermore, the sample cropping functionality, coupled with the 12-point Hot Cue trigger system, allows you to "play" your audio samples musically and creatively. Samples are captured in PCM format with a resolution of 48 kHz/16 bit for a maximum of 30 minutes of audio.

Creative live performances

Simply choose a target pad, set the desired number of measures, and start recording your samples directly, from the AUDIO IN or the dedicated MIC input. Edit your samples, apply effects, assign hot cues, resample... With KAOSS Replay, you can also record your performances in real-time (approximately 100 minutes).
