KORG microAUDIO 722 Key Features
High-Quality Components
The microphone and line inputs use a high-quality audio operational amplifier with a fully balanced configuration. The line inputs feature a buffer circuit that ensures low noise and distortion.
Audio Support up to 24-bit / 192 kHz
The unit is powered via the USB-C port; simply connect it to your computer to start using it.
Mic/Line (Hi-Z) Inputs
Combo jacks accept XLR or jack connectors and support balanced signals. XLR inputs offer +48V phantom power. A stereo link function is available, allowing both inputs to be used as a stereo pair, with gain adjusted by a single control. Outputs are on balanced TRS jacks.
Loopback Function
Allows you to use audio played back from your computer for streaming, video chat, or as a sampling source in your DAW.
Direct Monitoring with Dedicated Mix
Enables zero-latency monitoring, with the ability to blend the direct signal with audio from the computer.
Integrated DSP for Dynamics Control
Each channel features a noise gate and compressor/limiter. Parameters have been carefully selected to allow for quick and effective adjustments.
Analog Filter from the miniKORG 700S
The filter faithfully reproduces the characteristics of the original, with low-pass, high-pass, and bypass modes. It includes continuous resonance control and an LFO/envelope follower to create more extreme modulations. A mono/stereo switch allows filtering a single channel or maintaining stereo pass-through.
Analog Filter Usage in DAW
The signal can be sent from the computer to the analog filter and returned via USB, allowing the filter to be applied to any track or sound played back from the computer.
Standalone Operation
microAUDIO 722 can also be used without a computer as an analog filter or effects processor. It can be integrated into any setup: as an auto-wah for guitar/bass, as a filter for digital synths, or as a final effect in live performances or DJ sets. The software editor also allows configuring DSP effects (noise gate and compressor/limiter) in standalone mode.
Integrated MIDI IN/OUT
Enables hardware synchronization or MIDI control via computer. The LFO can be synchronized to BPM via MIDI for always-in-time modulations.
microAUDIO 722 the Audio Interface as a Creative Tool
microAUDIO 722 takes creativity beyond simple recording. In addition to professional audio quality, it integrates the legendary KORG analog filter, transforming the interface into a true sound design tool. It offers a unique sonic character, capable of providing depth, movement, and personality that digital processing alone cannot replicate.
The Sound of microAUDIO 722
microAUDIO 722 offers crystal-clear sound, ample headroom, and studio-grade preamplifiers. It supports 24-bit/192kHz and features balanced inputs/outputs for professional recording and playback, in the studio or live.
Control and Fluid Workflow
It features Mic, Line, and Hi-Z inputs with 48V Phantom Power, Noise Gate, assignable compression/limiting (with v1.01 update), zero-latency direct monitoring, and independent headphone management (with v1.01 update). The Stereo Link function simplifies control of stereo sources.
The Integrated Analog Filter Makes the Difference
The heart of microAUDIO 722 is the filter from the miniKORG 700S, with Low-Pass, High-Pass, and Bypass modes, usable on both inputs and audio from the computer.
With this filter, you can:
Use it as an auto-wah on guitar or bass
Process digital synthesizers and impart analog warmth
Shape sounds in real-time during live performances or streaming
Thanks to the MIDI In/Out connections, the filter can be automated, synchronized with external hardware, and integrated into hybrid workflows between software and physical instruments.
microAUDIO Editor
microAUDIO Editor is an application compatible with microAUDIO 722 dedicated to editing the parameters of included effects such as Noise Gate and Compressor or Limiter, and configuring MIDI settings. When connected to microAUDIO 722, it also makes the filter parameters available, which automatically synchronize with the unit's knobs.
Filter Ark included, The Heart of Creative Sound Design
Exclusively offered with microAUDIO 722, Filter Ark is KORG's new filtering plug-in for production in DAW environments. It faithfully recreates the legendary analog filters of MS-20, Polysix, miniKORG 700S, and ARP ODYSSEY, while introducing new modern models such as physical resonators and vowel filters. Up to four filters can be used simultaneously, configured in series, parallel, or feedback, and an advanced modulation system with Morphable LFO, sequencer, and macro controls can be utilized. This transforms the filter into a true creative tool, not just an effect. Scale Quantize and ready-made presets guarantee consistently valid results, allowing for expressive and modern sounds, far beyond traditional filtering.
microAUDIO 722 Software Bundle
In addition to Filter Ark, microAUDIO includes a complete software suite with tools and production tools such as:
Ableton Live Lite, Native Instruments Komplete Select, and iZotope Ozone Elements.
So you have everything you need to compose, record, produce, mix, and finalize your music right away.
Ready for Streaming, Production, and Performance
Integrated Loopback, USB-C for mobile devices, and optimized workflow make microAUDIO 722 perfect for studio, stage, and streaming.
