The second generation of the microKey keyboard series produced by the Japanese company Korg introduces native support for iOS devices such as iPad and iPhone, includes a new 49-key model, and adds a damper pedal input to the 37, 49, and 61-key models. The new Korg microKey series has evolved to become more convenient and versatile, making it the ideal choice for all beginner musicians who enjoy computer music (PC and Apple) and music apps in the iOS environment (version 8 or later), as well as providing an excellent solution for professionals looking for compact, easily portable MIDI/USB keyboards that can be used in any situation. The Natural Touch Mini keyboard will certainly not make us envy other models with larger keys, as it has been designed with particular attention to touch and response, to offer excellent playability when performing chords, glissandos, and fast melodic phrases, thanks to a specially designed proportion between the white and black keys. For these characteristics, the microKey series keyboards by Korg are an excellent physical extension for playing any type of virtual instrument. Korg microKeys are powered directly via USB and do not require drivers to operate with Windows (from version 7 onwards) and MacOS (10.8 and later) operating systems, which will automatically recognize them once connected. The 37, 49, and 61-key versions of the microKey series are equipped with a jack input for connecting an assignable pedal, useful for sustain, for example, and two wheels for controlling pitch bend and modulation. All models in the series are equipped with (+ and -) buttons for octave transposition. For programming the velocity curve and other functions, you can use the Kontrol Editor software, which can be downloaded directly from the Korg website.
