microKORG has been one of the most widespread and iconic synthesizers, revolutionizing in certain aspects the world of music with its unique architecture and unmistakable sounds. Used in countless historical performances and recordings, its influence has lasted for more than 20 years. Loved by musicians, sound engineers and producers, microKORG now evolves to a higher level with the new microKORG 2 WH. This new model maintains all the most characteristic aspects of the original such as compact size, ease of transport, mini keyboard, Dial for Program selection, Vocoder with dedicated microphone. However, it offers many decidedly innovative aspects such as a new high-performance sound engine, an updated Sound Library with modern and impactful sounds, a user interface based on a bright 2.8" color LCD IPS display that makes navigation even easier and more intuitive, combined with a new and powerful Vocal Processor with Harmonizer 4-voice, Hard-Tuning, Vocoder and finally a Loop Recorder that makes the instrument perfect for today's varied world of music production.

Analog physical modeling sound engine

microKORG 2 WH features a brand new analog physical modeling sound engine that delivers remarkable performance in terms of sound quality and dynamics. By not having the typical restrictions of hardware synths, this instrument allows, despite its ease of use, an advanced level of sound design, thanks for example to the Virtual Patch which provide pre-set modulation paths, effective but simple to use; all under the control of the new Display and its graphical interface that always shows clearly and precisely every operation performed on the panel. The sounds in the internal library of microKORG 2 WH have been completely reprogrammed to offer a wide range of timbral choices: from the more traditional "Fat" and penetrating sonorities of analog Synths, to the more modern, futuristic and cinematic ones, to satisfy all the needs of the modern musician and producer.

New Display and graphical interface

The control panel is now equipped with a 2.8'' high-brightness color display, while 5 editing knobs are assigned to as many animated icons on the display itself, providing the feeling of physically shaping every sound. The display can also instantly transform into a very useful oscilloscope that graphically displays the result of every operation performed.

microKORG 2 WH expands the possibilities of the practical and intuitive sound selection system introduced with microKORG. A dedicated Dial selects the music genre: Pop/Rock, Funk/Soul, HipHop/R&B, etc. or the general style: Classic, Modern, Future or User, while 8 dedicated buttons recall the Programs within.

The new Vocal Processor of microKORG 2 WH

One of the most interesting aspects of the original microKORG was related to its easy-to-use internal Vocoder, supplied with a dedicated microphone and capable of producing the most characteristic sounds of this module. microKORG 2 WH now features a much more powerful new Vocal Processor. In fact, in addition to the Vocoder, this vocal processor can generate Hard Tune correction effects essential for example in Trap music, or operate as a 4-part vocal harmonizer, with the added possibility of further processing the result with reverb and delay effects. On microKORG 2 WH as well, the gooseneck microphone is supplied as standard equipment to get you right into memorable vocal performances!!

The Loop Recorder and arpeggiator of microKORG 2 WH

microKORG 2 WH is equipped with Loop Recorder, a device that allows you to create backing tracks by cyclically overdubbing musical parts. Thanks to this function, microKORG 2 WH becomes ideal for Live Performance as well. The Loop Recorder is simple to use and is controlled by dedicated buttons on the panel: Record, Play/Stop and Undo/Redo, recording and playback settings can be easily modified in the dedicated menus that are easily accessible. The Loop Recorder makes microKORG 2 WH the ideal partner for expressing your musical creativity, allowing you to produce music practically anywhere. Of course, microKORG would not be complete without its integrated arpeggiator that is easy to use and highly effective, Loop Recorder and arpeggiator can be used simultaneously to create dense and musically engaging rhythmic melodic layers.

The Effects of microKORG 2 WH

KORG has specifically developed three series of high-quality effects for microKORG 2 WH, including nine new types of modulation (with dynamic effects), six types of Delay and reverb. The three series of effects can be activated/deactivated independently, and you can adjust the wet/dry ratio of each effect separately. The sound is sent to the effects for processing and then to a two-band parametric EQ with bass and treble adjustment, to define the overall character of the sound itself. In this way with microKORG 2 WH it is possible to perform complete performances without needing an external mixer or effects unit.

The Design of microKORG 2 WH

The iconic design of the original microKORG has been updated with a modern look. The basic frame design, the control panel layout, the knob shape and other features typical of the vintage microKORG have been maintained, but the overall aesthetics have been updated to achieve a more modern visual result. The new bright 2.8'' color display is positioned in the center, while the entire control panel is slightly recessed to improve programming ergonomics. The cabinet is painted with a refined white metallic tint while the side panels are covered with a black stone-grain finish. Robust materials and quality finishes ensure the reliability and durability of this instrument.

Easy-to-play mini keyboard

The microKORG 2 WH features an improved spacing ratio between white and black keys, making the small keybed even more playable. Despite being equipped with "mini" keys, the microKORG 2 WH keyboard allows you to easily play fast musical phrases, chords, and even techniques like glissando. The keyboard also has two dedicated buttons for octave shifting (Octave Shift Up/Down), a function that effectively expands its range by three octaves, giving the performer greater expressive possibilities.

Mobile Performance

microKORG 2 WH is lightweight and easy to transport, measuring 54.2 cm wide and weighing only 2.1 kg (without batteries and microphone). The instrument can be powered via the included AC adapter, or alternatively via six AA batteries, allowing you to play it virtually anywhere.
