The KORG MONOTRON DELAY is an analog synthesizer designed and optimized for creating sound effects. In addition to the analog oscillator, filter, and LFO, this new model in the monotron series features a Space Delay indispensable for creating unique, "cosmic" sounds. By varying the delay time, the monotron Delay also reproduces the classic pitch fluctuations typical of vintage analog tape echoes. This impressive and warm delay will add an extra touch of authenticity to your analog sounds. The Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) is used to modulate pitch, and in this monotron model, it provides two user-selectable waveforms: square and triangle. Both the rate and depth parameters can be independently adjusted using their respective potentiometers. For greater versatility, the trimpot located on the rear panel can be used to continuously control the shape of the triangular wave or the amplitude of the square wave. Used together with the delay, the LFO creates interesting effects and provides the ability to embellish and make the generated sounds unique and special. The KORG MONOTRON DELAY's ribbon keyboard controls a 4-octave range. This has been designed to control pitch more aggressively and dynamically, making the KORG MONOTRON DELAY a particularly suitable instrument for creating special effects. The inverted keyboard coloring and unique graphics will stand out in the dark, adding a significant visual impact to the auditory experience. The KORG MONOTRON DELAY uses the same VCF circuit as the historic KORG MS-10 and MS-20 semi-modular synths. Made 30 years ago, these synthesizers are still highly sought after by enthusiasts and professionals today. The VCF Cutoff potentiometer allows you to select the cutoff point of the low-pass filter, while the Peak knob controls resonance. Thanks to the "Aux In" mini-jack input available on the rear panel, you can connect any external audio source to the KORG MONOTRON DELAY, such as a Kaossilator, a guitar, or a CD and/or .mp3 player, to process it through the resonant low-pass filter and the Space Delay effect.
