The Sound of Pa700
KORG Pa700 employs the advanced EDS-X (Enhanced Definition Synthesis-eXpanded) sound generation system, 128 voices of polyphony, 24 oscillators per note, multi-mode filters and full editing, with which over 1,700 internal sounds have been accurately created. This timbre database offers a wide collection of classic and contemporary keyboard sounds, winds and orchestral instruments, electronic and acoustic instruments, capable of satisfying the most heterogeneous musical genres, from techno to folk. Included in this rich sound palette are two Multi-Layer concert Grand Pianos, with Damper and Body Resonance, a wide assortment of electric pianos, accompanied by an accurate simulation of a "Tone Wheel" electromagnetic organ, with the reproduction of all its characteristic components such as: Key On/Off Noises, Leakage, and Rotary Speaker simulation. In addition, new sounds of brass, strings, basses, electric and acoustic guitars. All sounds have been sampled using the most advanced recording techniques, to capture all the details and nuances. Up to 256 MB of PCM User Memory is also available, to load new Samples in the most popular formats such as: KORG, WAV, AIFF, SoundFont™. General MIDI (GM) compatibility has been further refined to best reproduce musical files in this format.
The Styles of Pa700
KORG Pa700 has more than 370 internal Styles, created with extreme care to reproduce the Groove and typical passages of each musical style as faithfully as possible. With such a large musical database, Pa700 can satisfy a wide range of musical genres. The Styles are created by an international staff of expert musicians and top-level programmers. Each Style consists of 4 Variations, 4 fills and Break for each Variation, and are equipped with the Autofill function, which makes the transition between Variations musically more interesting and dynamic. The efficient Guitar Mode 2 generates guitar accompaniment tracks of great impact and realism. Each Style also has 4 Pads with which to control individual sounds, percussion, accompaniment riffs or simple effects. The STYLE CREATOR BOT also converts a Standard MIDI File into a complete Style, so it is possible to quickly have Styles derived from the most recent hit songs!
The Effects of Pa700
Pa700 has a carefully selected range of high-quality effects. For accompaniment tracks there are 2 Insert and 2 Master FX, while for sounds used in real time with the Keyboard Set there are: 1 Insert and 2 Master FX, 148 Stereo effects in total, including reverbs, delays, Vintage effects, Cabinet Simulators, dynamic processors, etc. On each synthesis channel there is also a 3-band EQ, to properly adjust each sound used in your performances.
Singing with Pa700
It is possible to connect a dynamic microphone, with a Channel Strip equipped with: Equalizer, Compressor, Gate, Reverb and Delay, and treat the voice as in a studio! With the Vocal Remover that attenuates or even eliminates the main voice from commercial MP3 music files, allowing them to be used as backing tracks for your performances.
Connect a guitar
Pa700 has an input on the rear panel where you can connect and process a guitar, with dedicated effects. The best guitar effects available in the vast KORG library have been included, such as amplifier and cabinet simulators, distortions, Chorus, Delay, reverbs.
The Player/Sequencer of Pa700
In addition to the most popular and widespread Lyrics formats, the Player also supports the MP3+G format (also known as: MP3+Graphics). This feature allows you to play sequences enriched with multimedia content such as Lyrics and graphics, following these on the TFT display or on an external TV monitor. In addition, it is also possible to record an entire performance, including voice, in MP3 audio format, storing it on a USB device or on the internal memory of Pa700.
The SongBook
It is the function for the global management of the instrument, a fully programmable musical database, indispensable for live use. It is based on memories called ENTRY which contain the most appropriate parameters for performing a specific musical piece: Style with all its settings (Tempo, sounds, etc.), MIDI file, Mp3, Keyboard Set, volumes, effects, Vocal Processor presets, etc. All created titles can also be organized into Set Lists, i.e. the list of songs to be performed during a performance. The SongBook also has a dedicated editor (Windows), to speed up the configuration operations of your instrument and can also be synchronized with your iOS or Android Tablet, and become a practical digital music score reader (a specific third-party software is required).
The Connectivity of Pa700
MIDI connections can now be made via the USB HOST ports, in addition to the standard MIDI (DIN) jacks and the USB DEVICE port. This allows easy connection of external controllers, such as KORG Micro or Nano series controllers, without using adapters.
