16-channel line mixer
The KORG SOUNDLINK MW-1608 is a 24-channel hybrid analog-digital line mixer created in collaboration with the legendary design team of Greg Mackie and Peter Watts. It combines the advantages of immediate analog control, essential for quick live adjustments, with the exceptional quality and power of digital sound, along with a more accessible interface for musicians.
The new HiVolt microphone preamps go far beyond the claim found in other mixers of "low noise and high headroom," offering maximum headroom compared to any analog or digital mixer in the same price range: 16.5V internal voltage, even on stereo channels where other mixers normally fall short.
The KORG SOUNDLINK MW-1608 was designed for maximum practicality and simplicity, it is the only small mixer that has 4 Mute Groups, which allow you to program and instantly recall different channel combinations, very useful when there are various groups on stage, for performing different songs, or solo performances.
The KORG SOUNDLINK MW-1608 features the exclusive Phone function, which, by means of two dedicated knobs, simply by rotating them, increases the entire Mix in the individual channel for the musician's monitors; this avoids having to change the settings of the main Mix or having to dedicate a Bus for this purpose.
The KORG SOUNDLINK MW-1608 does not use a generic digital effects processor, but rather a sophisticated, high-quality proprietary KORG DSP, an example of the brand's decades of experience in this sector; with 24 effective and realistic digital effects, with all editable parameters, savable, recallable, and also activatable via a footswitch, offering great versatility of use, thanks also to their alternative versions ready to use; such as on reverbs, all equipped with the "Warm" variant. There is also a sample signal generator with a 31-band spectrum analyzer. The mixer's Limiter, Compressors, and Noise Gate are effective without ever being aggressive or exaggerated, each module has modifiable and recallable parameters. This Mixer can also easily manage and solve acoustic problems thanks to a 31-Band spectrum analyzer combined with an ultra-efficient 31/9-Band Paragraphic EQ.
