Dual-Diaphragm Tube Microphone
The LEWITT LCT 840 is a high-performance dual-diaphragm tube microphone with external polarization. It has been designed for excellence in its application field. Equipped with a finely engineered 1" capsule, the LCT 840 delivers an exceptional, very warm and classic vintage sound. Ideal for miking vocals and acoustic instruments, this versatile microphone ensures top-level recordings live and in the studio. Five interchangeable polar patterns – omnidirectional, cardioid, figure-8, broad-cardioid, and supercardioid – make the LCT 840 an indispensable tool for professional sound engineers and artists seeking an authentic tube sound. Like all LEWITT microphones, the LCT 840 features an extremely low circuit noise of dB and accurate source selectivity during recording based on the polar pattern used. The microphone has two filters, a 3-interval low-cut filter and a 3-level attenuation filter, LED indicators, and noiseless pushbuttons for using the PSU in total silence. In addition to stunning cutting-edge technology, the LCT 840 boasts a fantastic design: a transparent plexiglass is mounted on the front of the microphone, allowing the illuminated tube to be seen during operation. The inside of the plexiglass is coated with a special conductive film that ensures protection against electromagnetic interference.
