MODAL ELECTRONICS ARGON8X
Estimated delivery in Italy between 9 and 13 July
Building on the legacy of our legendary
OO series synthesizers, Argon8 is a modern wavetable desktop synthesizer for
artists, producers, and sound designers. With its clear
and rich sound, a host of real-time controls, MPE compatibility,
a clearly structured user interface and built-in performance tools,
Argon8 is a unique instrument, designed to
deliver an unparalleled sound experience.
The sophisticated wavetable synthesizer engine of
Argon8 generates thousands of different sonic combinations with its seamless
waveform morphing capability. Explore evolving ambient textures,
classic pads and modern chords and basses, dark drones and
psychedelic noise textures - Argon8 is a true playground for the
sound designer. Process and modulate the waves with a cross
of 32 static wavetable modifiers and unlock additional wavetable
variations. With Argon8, virtually any sonic
imagination comes alive.
Four types of morphable filter options offer
contemporary and classic means of shaping sounds. Two flexible
audio rate LFOs (1x polyphonic) can be routed to a huge amount of
destinations using the modulation matrix and synced to internal
or external clock. Three dedicated envelopes for filter, amp and
modulation provide precise control over dynamics and
expression. Argon8's sophisticated 12-slot modulation matrix allows
you to easily assign complex modulation routings for evolving
sound.
Take performance to a new level with the
512-note built-in step (or real-time) sequencer with 4 powerful animation
tracks, which influence massive and complex sound transitions in a way
that LFOs and envelopes simply don't provide. The polyphonic
mode of the 64-note step sequencer allows easy input of
note and animation values to create fantastic melodic patterns.
Multiple sequencer trigger modes, along with the
powerful built-in arpeggiator (programmable up to 32 steps) and performance
features such as chord hold, inversions, transpose, sustain stack and the
joystick, make the Argon8 wavetable synthesizer a dream for
performers and musicians.
Argon8's professional approach for serious artists
finds its perfect expression in the rugged steel and aluminum chassis and the
61-note full-size TP/9S keybed. The keys
support channel aftertouch and offer a smooth action for expressive
performances. For direct access to parameters, Argon8
has 29 endless encoders, 24 buttons and an X/Y joystick for pitch and
modulation.
Completely redefine your sounds with the built-in
stereo effects engine. Argon8's 3-slot effects engine allows for in-depth
programming and can combine up to 12 effects algorithms
to add character and depth to your sound, including distortion
(wave-shaping overdrive), chorus, phaser, flanger (pos), flanger (neg), tremolo,
lofi, rotary, stereo delay, ping-pong delay, x-over delay and reverb.
With a wide array of connections, Argon8 feels right
at home in any environment. Control the synthesizer using USB, monitor
with headphones or using dedicated line outputs, sync
external equipment using full-size MIDI inputs and outputs and
3.5mm sync inputs or outputs, and take control of your
sound with integrated sustain and expression pedal inputs. You can
expand the sound of Argon8 by chaining two Argon8 units to
get 16 voices and 64 oscillators.
The free ModalApp application brings the convenience of
on-screen editing to your computer or mobile device. Available as a
standalone application for macOS, Windows, iOS, iPadOS or Android systems and
in VST3 and AU plugin formats, it is the perfect companion for synth
enthusiasts looking to dive deep into all sound shaping
and performance parameters to create their own distinctive
sounds and to make backups and manage patches and
sequences.
