Labyrinth is a semi-modular instrument capable of discovering patterns, layers and sonic textures that sound familiar or completely new. Two generative sequencers bring to life sounds that flourish over time, allowing you to control their evolution and scale, then make them interact with each other, creating surprising polymetric melodies. With parallel analog signal paths, this unique instrument excels at adding color to the static background of a drum pattern or bass line. Perfectly able to function on its own or add depth to your existing rack, Labyrinth is equally at home in a live set or at the center of a humble home studio. Labyrinth is able to take a studio session to explore uncharted creative terrain.
The beating heart of Labyrinth is a robust dual sequencer, which uses random operations to build two unique eight-step paths that intertwine with each other, forming a fascinating sonic path. With a complete patch bay, Labyrinth can be synchronized via analog clock or MIDI, while processing, routing and being influenced by other devices. Tune your instruments together and let Labyrinth improvise in pitch while you play Matriarch. Connect Labyrinth and Spectravox to get animated spectral movement. Combine Labyrinth with Mavis in a 104HP rack for expanded modularity. These are just a few of the scenarios where Labyrinth fits perfectly. Whatever path you choose, let Labyrinth guide you.
